Strictly Eat to the Beat

Dancing in front of thousands every night is bound to give you an appetite. Luckily for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing’s professional dancers and celebrities, Eat to the Beat was on-hand to serve a delicious selection of meals, snacks and refreshments during the 2018 nationwide arena tour.

Strictly Come Dancing has been a staple of Saturday night TV for fifteen years. Watched and loved by millions, the latest series produced a litany of great dances including Alexandra Burke’s jaw dropping jive, Susan Calman’s delightful quickstep and Joe McFadden’s daring Argentine tango. With all those dances and plenty more featuring on the spectacular tour, it’s no surprise that everyone from the professionals and the celebrities to the judges and support crew worked up a healthy appetite.

That’s where Eat to the Beat came in. Taking in eight major UK cities throughout January and February, six of its finest chefs prepared a wide selection of home cooked meals. Dinner was the main event with hot and cold starters, five main courses including a Vegan option and a selection of cheese, desserts and fruit.

Eat to the Beat’s Strictly adventure kicked off with loading up the equipment on the 15th of January, prior to the first stop in Birmingham just four days later. From there the team took in Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Belfast, Glasgow and Nottingham before catering two show-stopping London performances at Wembley and the O2 Arena.

Whilst the demands of catering such a large tour were great, Eat to the Beat more than rose to the challenge, making sure everyone working on the tour - whether on stage or behind the scenes - were left completely satisfied with their meals.

The celebrities, professional dancers, judges and support staff made catering the Strictly tour a truly unforgettable experience for Eat to the Beat and we thoroughly look forward to catering for the Strictly team again soon. In the meantime…keep dancing!
